ulaanbaatar
hotel
Founded in 1961, our hotel has been an integral part of the city's landscape, playing a significant role in the social, political, and cultural history of Mongolia. The hotel was built by a special resolution of the government, with the infamous Tsedenbal-Filatova, the wife of the Mongolian communist leader Tsedenbal, personally involved in its construction and design. She meticulously chose the best workers and designers available at the time to create a flagship property for the Mongolian hospitality industry.
During the 1980s and 1990s, our hotel housed several foreign embassies, making it a hub of international diplomacy. The last embassy, the Turkish mission, moved out in 1997. Throughout our history, our hotel has been frequented by politicians, lobbyists, and dignitaries. During the Democratic Revolution of 1991, our hotel served as a meeting place for communist rulers and democratic activists, where the future fate of the country was decided.
Our hotel has also been a cultural phenomenon, featuring in more than a dozen films that have since become classics. As the primary accommodation for international visitors, guests, and representatives, we have consistently provided safe, luxurious, and convenient services with the warm hospitality of Mongolia.
In 2024, we completed a comprehensive renovation to meet the demands of modern business clientele. Each room was fully updated, and our public areas, refreshment lounge, conference facilities, and renowned banqueting hall were all enhanced to provide the highest level of comfort and service. This renovation marks a new chapter in our storied history, as we continue to set the standard for luxury and excellence in the hospitality industry. Welcome to a legacy of distinction and comfort. Welcome to our hotel.
